CPR & First Aid Classes
The American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR, AED, and First Aid training programs are developed and administered by the Health and Safety Institute (HSI). All classes provide two year certification.
Class size is limited and on a first come first serve basis. Students need to pre-register and pre-pay 8 days prior to the class to reserve a space. The fee is non-refundable if the student does not provide 48 hour cancellation notice.
Students are responsible for ensuring class certifications will fulfill employer or other requirements.
Accommodations can be made for employer groups.

ASHI Basic First Aid is for students who want to develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is consistent with recommendations of the 2010 National First Aid Science Advisory Board and OSHA’s best practices for first aid training programs in the workplace.

ASHI CPR and AED is a combined program designed specifically for laypeople. The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is based upon the 2010 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR) and other evidence-based treatment recommendations. For individuals who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills.

CPR Pro Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Recommended for individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training.

ASHI Advanced First Aid is designed for the person who needs or desires more first aid training than Basic First Aid, but not to the level of Emergency Medical Response. Perfect for corporate emergency response teams, this course presents many of the most common illnesses and injuries responders are likely to encounter. This course is designed for non-EMS responders including government, corporate, industry, lifeguards, security personnel, law enforcement, corrections personnel, and other individuals who are not EMS or healthcare providers, but desire or require certification in Advanced First Aid.
